Inspired by the beauty and poetry found in the simple moment, my aerial portrait series was inspired by views from my hotel balcony in some of my favorite cities. My work reflects the pursuit of the next stage of evolution in contemporary figure painting. These two oil paintings depicts an aerial view of a two-step running sequence of a Parisian man on the sidewalk of St. Germain. This is a passionately painted rendition of a moving urban portrait. This expressive piece is part of my award-winning Pixel Impressionism series. At first glance, this painting is a realist depiction of a moving subject, but, upon close inspection, it is an abstract, expressive, Impressionistic painting. Made from archival materials on 1.5" heavy duty, museum-wrap stretched canvas with finished edges, this piece is ready to hang on your wall, or frame to suit taste.
