Inspired by the poetry found in the everyday moment, my aerial portrait series features views from my hotel balcony in some of my favorite cities. I hope my “heavenly viewpoint” inspires the viewer to gain a new perspective. This painting featuring an aerial portrait of a woman wearing jeans carrying an umbrella running in the Paris rain was inspired by a view from my hotel balcony. This contemporary figurative painting is painted in my expressive, signature style which captures the motion of the walking figure using brushstrokes that suggest pixels and interlacing found in digital video.
