Keating Figurative Paintings Featured in “Rich World of Perception” Exhibit in Santa Fe

Large, Aerial View, Contemporary Impressionist Figurative Paintings by Warren Keating

“The aim of art is to represent not the outward appearance of things, but their inward significance.” - Aristotle

ViVO Contemporary Gallery welcomes you to a community of artists with very diverse approaches to the art process. One of the main challenges of artists is to balance community with independence. They need to think their own thoughts and do their own things, creating quality work that addresses contemporary culture and its aesthetic. A group of Santa Fe artists who form ViVO Contemporary address the question, “Does community lead to mediocrity?” Our response is, “mediocrity is created by the notion of ‘good enough will do’.” We are unwilling to accept “good enough” and, as we choose to live to our full potential, it is imperative that we embrace our own natures, the unique individuality that we were born with, within the history and environment in which we grew up. It is our uniqueness that makes our community rich, while sameness does not.

Keating’s three new pieces, Woman Bicycling on a Summer Day, Cowboy in Santa Fe, and Summer Family Vacation
